Nantucket Cottage Hospital is pleased to announce that Michael Lorber will chair the 2015 Boston Pops on Nantucket concert set for August 8th at Jetties Beach.
Lorber has long ties to the island, and is a founding member of the Friends of Nantucket Cottage Hospital group.
“As a summer resident of the island, I am honored to serve as this year’s chair for the biggest and best event of the summer,” Lorber said.
As the event chair for the 19th edition of the Boston Pops on Nantucket concert, Lorber will oversee this cherished island tradition with a dedicated group of hospital staff and volunteers, producer Jon Rosbrook and Aisling Glynn’s ACKtivities, as well as vendors and special guests.
The annual concert is the largest single fundraiser for Nantucket Cottage Hospital that brings thousands of people from all walks of life together at Jetties Beach for an unforgettable night of entertainment featuring the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and conductor Keith Lockhart.
